Gunther's death.

Gunther was a henchman of Simon Gruber in Die Hard with a Vengeance.

Die Hard with a Vengeance

Gunther worked alongside Karl disguised as a security guard for the Federal Reserve Bank. He accompanied John McClane into an elevator, but when McClane discovered their ruse (after seeing Otto was wearing the badge that belonged to Ricky Walsh). After McClane took out Karl and Kurt, Gunther got a hold of him from behind. But McClane headbutts him from behind. Gunther fires his pistol erratically above the elevator as McClane headbutted his face several times, killing Gunther. Otto was then killed afterwards. Gunther was the third terrorist in Simon's group be killed by McClane.

Trivia

• He can be confused with Ivan, who introduced himself as "John Gunther" during the heist at the Federal Reserve Bank. In fact, those two are actually different characters.
• In the elevator, Karl calls Gunther "Mike".
