Michael Kamen (April 15, 1948 – November 18, 2003) was an American composer of film scores. He composed the first three Die Hard movies, (Die Hard, Die Hard 2 and Die Hard with a Vengeance), as well as the Lethal Weapon movie series, Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves (co-starring Alan Rickman), Highlander and the first X-Men movie.

Kamen also composed many others films, such as the James Bond film Licence to Kill, Road House, Hudson Hawk (with Bruce Willis), The Last Boy Scout (again with Bruce Willis), Shining Through, Last Action Hero (directed by John McTiernan), Mr. Holland's Opus, the 1996 version of 101 Dalmatians, Frequency, Open Range and his final film First Daughter.

Kamen also scored "From the Earth to the Moon" and "Band of Brothers" series on HBO.
